LiquoGuard®
World's only CSF management system allowing for simultaneous automatic drainage of cerebrospinal fluid and intracranial pressure monitoring
Brain haemorrhages
Inflammation of brain membranes
Hydrocephalus
Cerebral injuries
Destruction of arachnoid granulations
Application of LiquoGuard® in neurosurgery
Cancerous lesions
Cysts
Haemorrages
Congenital malformations
Any obstructed CSF outflow
In treatment-resistant brain oedema, CSF drainage with the LiquoGuard® system offers an expedient alternative to decompressive trepanation.
Alarm system automatically issues a warning to avoid hyperdrainage or catheter occlusion
Safe
Possibility of infusion testing. Calculation of shunt parameters.
Ergonomic
Drainage system is airtight. It has no air filters and provides for minimization of the risk of infection and avoiding retrograde CSF flow.
Prevents infections
Provides highly accurate IСP measurement and CSF drainage even in course of the patient's movements
Portable
The system is applicable both for external ventricular drainage and lumbar drainage.
Multipurpose
No complex set-up required: the ICP range, as well as drainage rate and volume are quickly and accurately set for each patient.
Easy to use
Operates at a field strength of 3 Tesla
No calibration required
Service life 3 years
Consumables
MRI-compatible
The unit comes with a Tube Set for measuring intracranial pressure and draining cerebrospinal fluid

LiquoGuard®application in cardiac surgery:
Surgical treatment of thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms
Hybrid operations on the aortic arch (H.G. Borst operation)
One of the main factors of the intraoperative period is the protection of the spinal cord.

Prolonged aortic clamping at the level of the descending thoracic section leads to increased CSF pressure and decreased systolic pressure distal to the clamp, thus reducing spinal cord perfusion.
Draining lowers the CSF pressure, thus increasing the perfusion pressure and improving the blood supply to the spinal cord and therefore, reducing the risk of ischaemic damage.

LiquoGuard® allows the rate and amount of drained CSF to be programmed in a controlled and safe manner according to the CSF pressure and guarantees appropriate spinal perfusion.
